31 August 2005 : Talk at the Leo Baeck Centre by Emeritus Professor Nancy Millis entitled "How Port Phillip Bay Works" to consider the implications of the channel deepening proposals.

15 May 2005: "How green is your home?" Demonstration home assessment by Easy Being Green Inc. - to help householders improve efficiency of energy and water use.

17 April 2005 : Second Eco-festival at Shalom Aleichem College , Elsternwick. Sponsored by South east Water and VISY Recycling. The theme of climate change was addressed by a program of specialist speakers. Also a political panel, demonstrations of sustainable technology, displays, a youth eco-competition and a schools debate, a children's program, food stalls and musical entertainment.

4 February 2005 : Public viewing of "End of Suburbia" , showing the scenario of peaking oil reserves combined with increasing reliance on fossil fuels for energy and transport. Lively discussion after the film.

21 November 2004 : Billabong walk , at Willsmere Park . The serenity of this bushland remnant in the heart of Kew was a revelation to most of the 36 participants, who plied the ranger with a steady stream of questions.

8 February 2004 : Tu Bishvat Eco-festival at the Leo Baeck Centre, to showcase what is being done and what can be done to halt and reverse environmental damage. Supported by community grants from the City of Boroondara, Balwyn Rotary and the Victorian Multicultural Commission. Featured talks covering a wide range of environmental issues, practical demonstrations (including solar energy and hybrid electric/petrol cars), a panel of politicians debating challenges to Victoria 's environment, environmental stalls and displays, children's activities, food and entertainment. Ended with a concert by Klezmania.
