Sun 28 Oct, 2.30-4.30pm: Environmental Lecture: Kehilat Nitzan (JECO member organisation) at B'nai B'rith House (upstairs) - How can we save energy and water?  How can we live more sustainably?  How can we achieve these activities in our daily lives and at Synagogue?  Please join in a discussion with Rabbi Jonathan Keren-Black to learn how you can do your bit for the planet with a little knowledge, thought and often little cost.  Rabbi Keren-Black is a founder of JECO (Jewish Ecological Coalition) and builder of two energy efficient houses.  Setting an example for all of us, he and his family used only 11 litres of water per day per person in the last three months.

Wed 17 Oct: Ride to Work Day:  Be part of Australia's biggest active workplace event.  Regular and first-time riders from all states and territories will join the inaugural National Ride to Work Day.  Government and corporate organisations from around Australia have made the commitment to join this huge event which will stimulate over 10,600 tonnes of Greenhouse Gas savings in the first three years. Oct: Environmental art exhibition & Concert Fay White will be known to many, mostly for her wonderful environment songs.  She will be performing at the Leo Baeck Centre (JECO member organisation) as part of their Gallery Concert Series.  The art exhibition showing is Landlines: letter, line and form.  Fay's  Songs of Land and Environment  will complement the paintings. Sun 7th October, 2007: Guest speaker followed by AGM: Basil Schur, an experienced environmentalist who has been involved in many sustainable living projects will speak about  Landcare Challenges.  For time and location see flyer.
